THE VOICE MASTERCLASS will be held on Sunday, September 28th from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. (5 hours) at the Teatro Rosmini Borgomanero (NO).
The Masterclass is a unique opportunity to learn vocal techniques, receive teachings, tips and advice from Wayne Ellington, one of the most respected artists in the United Kingdom, winner of the Gospel Music Award 2013 as "Best International Male Vocalist."
The aim of the masterclass is to learn to sing solo efficiently and creatively, to understand the difference between a soloist and a lead vocalist, breathing techniques, how to overcome performance anxiety in order to achieve awareness and self-confidence.
THE PROGRAM:
- Learning how to control breath and keep pitch
- Recognizing in the current songs melodies that are part of our musical background, learning to use them in creative singing and improvisation
- Learning to sing with awareness getting in tune with the music that accompanies the song
- Exploring the different vocal sounds that we already have and learning to use them in songs like embellishments
- Learning to interpret songs with right feeling and passion
- Better understanding of yourself through singing, recognizing and sharing the uniqueness of your sound
- Understanding the different modes of execution between singing as soloists, in a small group or in a choir, learning to blend your voice with other singers
TRAINER:
Wayne Ellington: exceptional artist of Manchester, one of the best vocalists in the UK, was awarded in June 2013 in Verona, Italy at the Gospel Music Awards as "Best International Male Artist".
With his humble spirit, magnificent voice and an extraordinary talent, he studied music at Brunel University, where he won the prestigious Prix Instrumental Sheridan. Wayne has appeared in numerous radio and television broadcasts, as XFactor UK, and has collaborated with numerous British and American celebrities. He also did unforgettable duets with Grammy Awards Donnie McClurkin, Myron Butler, Kurt Carr and Micah Stampley, during the main event of the previous editions of Novara Gospel Festival.
Thanks to his extraordinary vocal ability ranging from Gospel to Jazz, from Pop to Rock, from Blues to R & B, he does concerts and vocal workshops throughout Europe.
For Wayne, faith is the foundational source of inspiration for all his work. His music and life experience are deeply rooted in the Christian faith, which he lives and shares with an evangelical spirit.
