Novara Gospel Festival

NOVARA GOSPEL FESTIVAL is an international music festival featuring live performances, cultural events, workshops and masterclasses. It has been organized since 2005 by the non-profit association Brotherhood Gospel Choir ETS, under the artistic and organizational direction of Paolo Viana and Sonia Turcato.

Winner of 3 Gospel Music Awards as “Best Gospel Event in Italy”, the festival has hosted many leading names in Contemporary Gospel over the years, including Grammy and Stellar Award-winning US artists Kirk Franklin, Richard Smallwood, Donnie McClurkin, Myron Butler, Kurt Carr, Jonathan Nelson, Israel Houghton & New Breed, followed by 21:03, J. Moss, Micah Stampley, Isaac Simpson, Richard Hartley, Michael Stuckey, Stacy Francis, Wayne Ellington, Michelle John, Colin Vassell, Carla Jane and many more.

Every year, the festival presents exciting concerts that become high-quality artistic performances, together with meaningful moments of serenity, community and positive values, in keeping with the spirit of the genre. Gospel means “Gospel”, the good news. In the songs of these great artists, whose lyrics draw inspiration from prayers, psalms and passages from the Gospel, there is a clear desire to share a message of peace, contemplation, freedom and, above all, hope through a universal language without limits or boundaries: music.

Since its first edition, the event has also placed great importance on education, offering Workshops and Masterclasses that allow singing enthusiasts to enjoy an inspiring and engaging experience while deepening their vocal knowledge under the guidance of outstanding British and American vocal coaches.

The organizing team of Novara Gospel Festival warmly thanks Piedmont Region, Fondazione CRT and all the partners supporting the event. Special thanks go to the Municipality of Novara and the Municipality of Borgomanero for their support, and to the Municipality of Cerano for the kind use of Auditorium Sala Crespi, where the first four Workshop sessions and some Masterclasses are held.
